Architecture and design definition are essential processes to handle the complexity of mechatronic systems through decomposing systems into its parts. In developing a system architecture, various problems have to be solved creatively. Understanding and documenting a solution needs different perspectives, which need to be connected to each other in a consistent way. Model-based systems engineering (MBSE) is the state-of-the-art approach to handle these challenges. Next to basic development approaches, various methodologies are established across different industries. The ISO 42000 series serves as a standardized basis.
The training addresses the following topics:
Experience in an engineering field and product development; basic knowledge in creating design drawings, architecture documents and/or modelling languages like UML/SysML.
Understanding terms, definitions, and basic procedures in architecture and design definition of systems. Understanding interfaces and interrelations with requirements, integration and verification and the role of architecture and design in systems engineering and MBSE.
This training is designed for engineers, systems engineers, project managers, and project staff, each with professional experience.
The training is available in English and German.
